5) Iztuzu Beach, Dalyan Turkey
Iztuzu Beach is as special to humans as it is to loggerhead turtles. It is one of the very few nesting sites of the loggerhead turtle and that’s why special regulations are in place to protect this beautiful beach. It is an outstanding swimming beach, however it is open to the public during the day, night-time visits – 8pm to 8am – are prohibited from May to September.
Wooden sticks on the beach indicate the nest locations and if you are visiting, you should keep behind them in order to not disturb the nature and the nests. 4.5km-long strip of sand is 13km south of Dalyan's centre, which is a part of city of Mugla.
6) Sveti Stefan Beach, Montenegro
Sveti Stefan is a beach resort in Montenegro, known for its outstanding natural beauties. During the 60s-80s period, it was known as an Adriatic playground for the rich, famous, and powerful. Sveti Stefan used to be an island however now it is connected to the mainland by a narrow isthmus. A little warning, Sveti Stefan is not open to everyone and it is known to be a very selective beach. But if you happen to get in, we can guarantee you will enjoy it.
